Anthony Wayne Trail and Erie Street Project
The water line repair project at the Anthony
Wayne Trail and Erie Street, Toledo, was a fast-track paving project.
After repairs to the water line were made, the entire excavation site
was filled using Low Strength Mortar Backfill. |

Sections of the repair
area used a Class C F.S. for the 12" thick pavement repair.
The mix design used was a seven bag full air with super plasticizer and
1% non-chloride accelerator. The mix design tested at 560 psi on
the beam break,
which was well over the requirements to open the roadway in three days. |

Urban
Beautification Project at Greenbelt Parkway and Cherry
Street The beautification project for the
Buckeye Basin Greenbelt Parkway was a project where the contractor
needed a mix with 3/8" washed river stone with full air 600 lbs. cement
content for use as exposed aggregate. A sitting wall was
constructed parallel to the Greenbelt and exposed aggregate was used for
all walk areas in the project. |

Highland
Park Skateboard Project
The Highland Park Skateboard Project was a very
unique project constructed for skateboard enthusiasts. All of the
ramps, the bowl, the steps, and all other flat surfaces were constructed
out of concrete. The concrete mix was a Class C mix with 1/2 air
and 10 lbs. of silica fume per yard. The silica fume was used to
densify the wearing surface of the concrete. All surfaces had a
hard, trowel smooth surface. |
